"It's going to be a lonely thanks giving"

My parents visited over today and lets say after 13 years of living with them in the same house for 365 days a year, I am certainly glad I only spend 4 out of the five months to actually stay in that house. I mostly live on my own and have been ever since I was in high school (you know, living in a dormitory private school) sometimes my father can really get on my nerves a lot with how he talks to me. I am an adult and he still somewhat thinks that I am irresponsible with how I do things, and the way he treats me when I get home.... lets not say anything about it. For the most part, I think it should be fun with no one around. I don't have my nagging mother at my back and my brother who hardly communicates with me will be gone with them (may god have mercy on his soul)

Anyways I renewed my license today after its been over 30 days since it has been expired (no time to do anything about getting it) and to my surprise I had to take a renewed test. A TEST AGAIN after four years!? Well I had some confidence in doing the test,and past it. When I told my family that I renewed my license all I heard was grunts on the other side of the phone. I asked " Hey what's with all the disappointment?" Turns out they were all betting on me failing the stupid test and didn't contain any hope for me at all for passing and were betting on money that I would miss a certain amount of questions to fail. Isn't my family wonderful!

I better start fillin out my list of what to eat on thanks giving, with my luck it wont be turkey, but a home broiled chicken.
